Some of you may remember little Macaroni Joe, the only kit from Mango and Coconut's first litter. He was a very adorable baby and attracted much interest. He went home with Mary R. who has been keeping me updated on his progress. She sent some sweet pictures in a recent message and I wanted to share them with you.
Isn't he growing up to be a handsome little man?
I know my videos aren't very good, but my bunny families seem to appreciate seeing the little Buns in action. I spent a chunk of today videoing and attempting to edit the footage into individual videos this time, instead of one long shoot with everybunny involved.
Here's Half Stache's New Video...
It was a very busy Saturday as we prepared to meet two new families yesterday who were looking for their forever Buns.
Mary R. came from Michigan and found a kindred spirit in Macaroni Joe. His sweet but spunky nature will be missed, but we know that she was the best match possible for him It was so much fun to meet Mary after conversing with her via email for such a long time. She updated us last night that Macaroni Joe was settling in like he owned the place, so apparently he agrees that he has found his perfect "Home Sweet Home."
Later in the day we were blessed to meet with Joanie S. and her husband and daughter. They were being matched with a little buck and the competition was stiff. Going into the meeting, I thought Imp was going to be the winner, but Doodles and Cagney overshadowed the more mild-mannered Imp. The decision was a tough one, but Cagney, a gorgeous solid blue out of Blueberry Muffin and Little Boy Blue, was the little fellow who went home with the S. family. We know that he will be well-loved and enjoyed immensely by his new family.
has joined our rabbitry!
Take a look at the Hot Cross Bucks page to meet our new senior buck, Luigi. Coming from Hook's Hollands, this little guy makes us drool. :)
Some of our young kits are ready to go to their new homes! We are excited at the prospect of working with new families who are eagerly awaiting a new family member to love.
Just a peek at some of the Buns to whet your appetite!
beginning to appear on our Hot Cross Babies page (slowly, but surely). LOL
Hop on over and take a peek!
We made the very difficult decision to list Charlotte as an "Available Bunny" on our site. While she has only had one litter with us in the 10 months we have had her, we feel she has earned a life of ease and adoration. This little girl is amazing and is truly cut out for the life of a pet. We will be looking for the perfect home for this special senior doe. Please spread the word if you know someone who would be an ideal candidate.
FDR and Turnover have gone to their wonderful new homes!
FDR is going to be living in the Keystone State with Maddy and her mom, Heather. He seemed to be very excited to be the bunny heading off in the bunny carrier this time. We look forward to hearing how he enjoys living in Steelers' country. :)
Turnover is going to live a busy life as a pet, a classroom bunny, and a 4-H show bunny. If anybunny can wear all those hats, it's little Turnover! She went home with the B. Family and is already eating up the love and attention she's getting. We look forward to hearing how she does in all aspects of her new life.
Amy is the Big Bunny at the Hot Cross Buns Holland Lop Rabbitry. She manages the furry bunnies as well as her own brood of five kits, with the help of her incredibly patient husband of nineteen years. Hot Cross Hoppenings will be a journal of our adventures in Holland Lop life.
