A Middle-of-the-Road Bun (MOTR). These little Buns are very content, are able to amuse themselves, enjoy attention and cuddles, but don't need to rely on someone to be available to entertain them. They welcome their people, but will wander off to pursue their own interests if something else catches their attention. These are great Buns for people who work during the day and won't be able to give constant attention to their rabbit.

An Active Bun - Active Buns rarely sit still. They want to be in everything, examining, exploring, climbing, tasting. They are the Dennis the Menace type of Bun and will rock whatever world (home) they land in. There is never a dull moment with an Active Bun. They are very intelligent, are typically escape artists, and are capable of learning tricks. These bunnies will keep you on your toes!

An Observant Bun - Observant Buns are typically low energy bunnies who like to muffin and stare at everything and everyone. We can't decide if they are meditating upon the state of their world, or if they are sitting there, judging every little thing you do. They often have the air of an old curmudgeon and live with a perpetually annoyed expression on their grumpy little faces. You will be an Observant Bun's devoted servant because you will do anything to get them to show approval and joy. Both are achievable, but you will need to work harder to discover what brings them joy. The rewards are incredible when you figure out what makes them tick.

A Social Butterfly Bun - These Buns thrive on time with their people and their people's friends, and the strangers they may encounter. From the moment their eyes open, they want to be involved in every aspect of your day and will hunt you down like a toddler looking for their mommy or daddy. A home that will allow such a sociable Bun to free-roam for large chunks of the day would be ideal. They have incredibly sunny dispositions and are total busybodies. They can be a bit bossy and are always opinionated, in a happy, demanding way.

A Cuddle Bun - These Buns are usually lower energy and are easy to recognize by their deep desire to find a warm, cozy lap for cuddles and snuggles. They are easy to handle and just want to be loved on all the time. Cuddle Buns usually bond closely with one or two people and tend to be shy/timid around other people, unless they have a smattering of Social Butterfly Bun mixed in. Most Cuddle Buns have a good portion of Observant Bun added to their temperament. They are best for families who can be with them nearly all the time, as they sometimes resent separation and will give you the cold shoulder if you're away too long. You have to do some groveling and bribery to get back into their good graces.

Are you willing to be matched with a fuzzy Holland Lop? (During the breed's development, angora rabbits were used to add variation in color and fur-type to the Holland Lop's original characteristics and, on rare occasions, this recessive gene appears in bunnies who have longer, angora-type wool coats. These coats need extra grooming and a haircut is recommended 3-4 times per year, either at home or with a professional groomer. Fuzzy Holland Lops (or "fuzzies" as we call them) tend to be very loving, mellow rabbits.)*

Yes, I am willing to be matched with a Fuzzy Holland Lop who has my desired temperament.

No, I'm not able to commit to the additional grooming needs of a Fuzzy Holland Lop at this time.

We occasionally have already spayed/neutered Buns available for placement. These rabbits may have been retired from our breeding program, are being re-homed, or just may not have found their ideal family at a younger age and stayed with us until the right one came along. Are you open to considering an older Bun if we believe we have one who could be an excellent match for you? *

If your questionnaire is approved, are you willing to place a $25 non-refundable deposit to Hot Cross Buns as a sign of your commitment to working with us? We determine the number of rabbits we breed based upon the number of people who have committed to working with us. This helps us to distinguish who is truly ready for a Bun from those who are simply "window shopping". The deposit will be deducted from your Bun's purchase price and will hold your place on our Waiting List. By placing your deposit, you commit to contacting us at least once a month (more frequently is welcomed and preferred) as an opportunity to get to know you better and help find the best possible bunny match for you. *

Please be completely honest. If your household tends to be noisy, and rather chaotic, don't tell us you have a tidy, calm home where people are always quiet and voices are never raised. A Social Butterfly Bun would have a blast in an ever-changing environment, so there can still be a great Bun match in your future.
